Are you an experienced sales professional with a passion for renewable energy?

Looking for a new opportunity, but don't fancy starting from scratch?

We are seeking a Senior Business Developer to lead growth in the UK, focusing on our consultancy services around wind, solar, and BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems).

You'll be coming into a warm desk, with a solid customer portfolio and a pipeline of over £500k in process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • New Business Development:
    Identify and engage potential clients, create opportunities, and convert them into long-term business. Utilize your network, cold-call where necessary, and build relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Client Relations:
    Present and sell new services, foster existing relationships, and work closely with technical teams to ensure client satisfaction. Support technical tasks when needed, such as site inspections or contract reviews.
  • Business Development Planning:
    Attend industry events, conferences, and exhibitions, providing market feedback and insights on trends. Help define and promote the company’s unique value propositions.
  • Marketing:
    Manage regional sales and marketing efforts, including overseeing event attendance and managing the sales and marketing budget.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in a sales role within services to the UK renewable energy sector (wind, solar, or BESS).
  • Ability to work independently with strong networking and persuasion skills.
  • Financial acumen, public speaking, and sales planning experience.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office.
  • An engineering qualification with an MBA, or a business degree with relevant renewables experience, is preferred.
