A long-standing client of Phillip Riley’s is looking for a number of Engineers with expertise in network modelling and system studies, who may be interested in relocating from the United Kingdom to New Zealand. 
About the company
This national consultancy has been involved with major utility and infrastructure projects across New Zealand and Australia for decades and are known for their innovative solutions. Due to growth across their business and the energy market in both countries they are looking at bringing on a Senior Power Systems Engineer (or intermediate to Principal) to assist their clients with design and analysis tasks, mentoring and training.
What you will do
  • Perform complex load flow analysis and insulation co-ordination
  • Produce network modelling using Digsilent, PSS/E and PSCAD for a range of dynamic and transient type studies
  • Liaise with multiple stakeholders including clients, utilities, generations, grid development or other regulatory bodies
  • Mentor other colleagues as well as clients on best practice
  • Ensure familiarity with NZ / AUS standards and regulations
What we need from you
  • Degree in Electrical or another relevant engineering Qualification
  • Previous involvement in network studies for large scale utilities and / or generation schemes as well as transmission operators/developers
  • Strong network modelling skills in some or all of the following; Digsilent, PSS/E and PSCAD experience required
  • The ability to present to clients and manage expectations
